Congress Mathadi Workers' Marathwada General Secretary Syed Ashfaq Ali has made a demand to the District Collector through a memorandum. Aurangabad- A memorandum demanding an increase in the honorarium of widows, destitute women under the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana and destitute and other destitute categories under the Shravan Bal Apang Yojana, keeping in mind the rising inflation, has been submitted to Resident Deputy Collector and Additional District Collector Vinod Khirolkar today. Congress Mathadi Workers Marathwada General Secretary Syed Ashfaq Ali submitted a statement, the Maharashtra government provides Rs 1500/- as subsistence allowance to the elderly above 65 years of age, widows and disabled people. But today's inflation has reached a high point and the said allowance is becoming insufficient. Due to this, it has become difficult for the eligible beneficiaries of the above schemes to meet their health expenses. Keeping in mind the rising inflation, the District Collector has requested the government to take appropriate action at its level to ensure that the beneficiaries under the above scheme receive at least Rs. 3000/- per month as an honorarium. On this occasion, Marathwada General Secretary of Congress Mathadi Workers Syed Ashfaq Ali, Mohammad Faizan, Mohammad Ayaz and others were present.
