District Planning Committee Meeting Planning should be done taking into account population growth - Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Date 30 (Jimaka) - While planning the development of the district, the population growth should be taken into account. The district development plan should be prepared keeping in mind the industrial investment going on in the district, the employment generated on that occasion, the number of people coming for business, and the expansion that is taking place, it has been directed. State Social Justice Minister and District Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat gave the approval today. On this occasion, the plan prepared for the year 2025-26 worth Rs. 1354 crore was approved. The meeting of the District Planning and Development Committee was held today in the Planning Hall. The meeting was attended by Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Ambadas Danve, MP Sandipan Bhumre, Dr. Kalyan Kale, Legislative Council Member A. Rajesh Rathod, Assembly Member A. Abdul Sattar, A. Pradeep Jaiswal, A. Prashant Bamb, A. Ramesh Bornare, A. Anuradhatai Chavan, A. Sanjanatai Jadhav as well as District Collector Dilip Swamy, Municipal Commissioner G. Srikanth, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Vikas Meena, Police Commissioner Praveen Pawar, Superintendent of Police Dr. Vinay Kumar Rathod, District Planning Officer Bharat Vayal, Resident Deputy Collector Vinod Khirolkar etc. It was informed in the meeting that the approved expenditure for the year 2024-25 in the district is Rs 660 crore. Out of this, the core area is Rs 450 crore 91 lakh, non-core area is Rs 180 crore 58 lakh and schemes other than the planning plan are Rs 28 crore 51 lakh, for a total approved expenditure of Rs 660 crore. While the total approved expenditure is Rs 773 crore 90 lakh, including Rs 104 crore for the Scheduled Caste scheme and Rs 9 crore 90 lakh for the schemes outside the tribal area. In the plan prepared for the year 2025-26, a total of Rs 1,200 crore has been proposed, including Rs 760 crore for the core area for general, Rs 380 crore for non-core areas and Rs 60 crore for schemes other than those in the planning plan. The demand is Rs 540 crore more than the outlay of the previous year. Similarly, a total of Rs 1,354 crore has been prepared for the Scheduled Caste schemes, Rs 144 crore 60 lakh, and Rs 10 crore 6 lakh for schemes outside the tribal areas. The expenditure approved for the year 2024-25 was reviewed as of the end of December 2024. A total of Rs 773 crore 90 lakh has been approved for the year 2024-25 for general, scheduled caste sub-plans and sub-plans outside tribal areas, out of which Rs 434 crore 34 lakh has been made available so far. Administrative approval has been given to a fund of Rs 531 crore 76 lakh and a fund of Rs 240 crore 78 lakh has been distributed to the agencies. Out of this, Rs 188 crore 28 lakh has been spent, it was informed. In the meeting, Guardian Minister Shirsat directed that a new action plan should be prepared for the construction of good buildings for schools. So that new buildings will be available. While preparing a new development plan for the district, the issue of population growth should be taken into account. The installation of solar energy generation systems should be promoted in more and more places. A survey should be conducted regarding the construction of crematoriums in rural areas and a plan should be prepared within a month. It is expected that immediate action should be taken with maximum vigilance regarding the education and safety of girls in schools. Guardian Secretary Harshdeep Kamble also gave instructions to the assembly to implement the five-year district development plan, which was also approved by the District Planning Committee. The meeting discussed various issues such as law and order in the district, minor minerals, electricity and water connections, and water availability. All members participated in the discussion. After the meeting, the Social Justice Calendar was released by Guardian Minister Shirsat.
