Three people including leader and saint died after bathing, more than 3 thousand people fell ill Mahakumbh 2025: On the first bathing festival of Mahakumbh, the harsh weather increased the difficulties of the devotees. On Monday, more than 3000 patients reached the Central Hospital and other hospitals located in the fair area for treatment. Hundreds of devotees fell ill due to cold. Of these, 85-year-old Arjun Giri was brought to SRN Hospital after suffering a heart attack, but he died on the way. Santosh Singh, media in-charge of the hospital, said that the patient was brought to the trauma center by ambulance at 6 pm, but investigation revealed that he had died before reaching the hospital. The body was sent for post-mortem. Chief Medical Superintendent of the Central Hospital, Dr. Manoj Kumar Kaushik said that on Monday, 3104 patients came to the OPD for treatment, out of which 262 were admitted. 37 patients in critical condition were referred to other hospitals. 650 patients were examined in the hospital and patients from Jhunsi and Arail hospitals of Mela area were also sent to SRN Hospital. 24 patients were referred to SRN Hospital, out of which 12 were admitted and the rest were discharged after treatment.
