Central government should keep BCCI under control: Hemant Patil
Central government should keep BCCI under control: Hemant Patil Supervision is required over the board representing the country. Pune, 26th February 2025 Hemant Patil, national president of India Against Corruption and OBC leader, on Thursday (26) demanded that the central government keep the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which represents India at the international level, under its control. Patil expressed the view that this board, which represents India in various cricket events, must work under the supervision of the central government. Being an autonomous and private organization, BCCI does not come under the jurisdiction of the National Sports Federation of India. Therefore, BCCI does not have the right to represent the country in international events without any prior permission from the central government. Patil demanded that the board should use only the name of BCCI without using the name of India in these events. Many changes have been seen after the Narendra Modi government came to power at the center. However, Patil said that the Modi government now needs to take the right stand regarding BCCI.
