“ Bharat Gaurav Train - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit ” Tourists should take advantage of historical tourism through – Divisional Commissioner Jitendra Papalkar District-wise review of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division by the Commissioner Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Date 2: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRTCT) has announced a special train 'Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit' to highlight the historical and cultural heritage and introduce the life and work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This train is starting from June 9, 2025 under the 'Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train'. Divisional Commissioner Jitendra Papalkar has appealed to tourists to experience various places of historical, religious and cultural importance in Maharashtra through this trip. Divisional Commissioner Mr. Papalkar conducted a review through video conferencing today. On this occasion, all the District Collectors of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Railway Department Officer Mr. Gururaj Sona, Additional Commissioner Khushal Singh Pardeshi, and Devidas Tekale of Urban Development Department were present at the meeting venue. Divisional Commissioner Mr. Papalkar said, in this five-day special journey of 'Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train', there will be visits to important historical places related to the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and programs based on history. During this journey, tourists will be provided with necessary facilities at Gadkota and historical places through Bharat Gaurav Train. Indian Railways and Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation have made good preparations for the historical initiative. Detailed information about the tourist places at the places where Bharat Gaurav Train reaches will be given to the tourists. During the journey, the corporation officials will guide the passengers at every stage in coordination with IRTCT to make their experience pleasant and memorable. During this five-day journey, from railway stations to forts, tourists will be given a rich experience by observing the footprints of history at every place. A meticulous planning of tourism arrangements will be made at each fort and historical place. On this occasion, the railway along with the resident deputy collector, municipal corporation and officials of the concerned department were present.
