SIR अभियान को 29 अगस्त तक बढ़ाने की मांग, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता इकबाल पटेल ने राष्ट्रपति व राज्यपाल को भेजा ज्ञापन खुलताबाद, संवाददाता श्री संजय जाधव,6 जुलाई। विशेष गहन मतदाता सूची पुनरीक्षण (SIR) अभियान की अवधि एक माह बढ़ाने की मांग को लेकर खुलताबाद के सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता इकबाल गनी पटेल ने भारत के राष्ट्रपति एवं महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल को ज्ञापन भेजा है। यह ज्ञापन तहसीलदार, खुलताबाद के माध्यम से प्रेषित किया गया। ज्ञापन में कहा गया है कि भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के निर्देशानुसार राज्यभर में विशेष गहन मतदाता सूची पुनरीक्षण (SIR) अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। इस अभियान के तहत मतदाताओं की जानकारी अद्यतन करने, आवश्यक दस्तावेजों का सत्यापन करने तथा पात्र नागरिकों के नाम मतदाता सूची में शामिल करने की प्रक्रिया जारी है। इकबाल पटेल ने ज्ञापन में उल्लेख किया कि प्रदेश के अनेक क्षेत्रों में मानसून सक्रिय होने, कृषि कार्यों के व्यस्त मौसम, रोजगार के सिलसिले में लोगों के गांव से बाहर रहने, पलायन तथा आवश्यक दस्तावेज समय पर उपलब्ध नहीं होने के कारण बड़ी संख्या में पात्र नागरिक निर्धारित अवधि में इस प्रक्रिया में शामिल नहीं हो पा रहे हैं। उन्होंने आशंका व्यक्त की कि यदि अभियान वर्तमान समय-सीमा के भीतर ही समाप्त कर दिया गया, तो अनेक पात्र नागरिक मतदाता सूची में अपना नाम दर्ज कराने से वंचित रह सकते हैं। लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था में प्रत्येक पात्र नागरिक के मतदान के अधिकार की रक्षा के लिए उन्होंने SIR अभियान की अवधि 29 अगस्त 2026 तक बढ़ाने की मांग की है। ज्ञापन में यह भी मांग की गई है कि अभियान को प्रभावी एवं समयबद्ध ढंग से पूरा करने के लिए बूथ लेवल अधिकारियों (BLO) की संख्या दोगुनी की जाए, ताकि प्रत्येक पात्र मतदाता तक पहुंचकर दस्तावेजों का सत्यापन एवं पंजीकरण कार्य सुचारु रूप से पूरा किया जा सके। इसके अलावा, प्रत्येक वार्ड के जनप्रतिनिधियों एवं नगरसेवकों से भी SIR अभियान में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाने का आग्रह किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि जनप्रतिनिधि अपने-अपने क्षेत्रों में अभियान का व्यापक प्रचार-प्रसार करें, नागरिकों को आवश्यक सहायता उपलब्ध कराएं तथा यह सुनिश्चित करें कि कोई भी पात्र मतदाता मतदाता सूची से बाहर न रह जाए। ज्ञापन के माध्यम से संबंधित प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों को आवश्यक निर्देश जारी कर अभियान की अवधि बढ़ाने तथा इसे अधिक प्रभावी ढंग से संचालित करने की मांग भी की गई है। Demand to Extend SIR Campaign by One Month; Social Activist Iqbal Patel Submits Memorandum to President and Governor Khultabad, correspondent Mr Sanjay Jadhav July 6: Social activist Iqbal Gani Patel of Khultabad has submitted a memorandum to the President of India and the Governor of Maharashtra, seeking a one-month extension of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign for the electoral rolls. The memorandum was forwarded through the Tahsildar of Khultabad. In the memorandum, Patel stated that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign is being conducted across the state under the directions of the Election Commission of India. The campaign aims to update voter information, verify required documents, and include eligible citizens in the electoral roll. Patel pointed out that the active monsoon season, ongoing agricultural activities, migration for employment, and the unavailability of necessary documents have prevented a large number of eligible citizens from completing the verification process within the stipulated time. He expressed concern that if the campaign concludes within the current deadline, many eligible citizens may be left out of the electoral rolls. To safeguard every eligible citizen’s democratic right to vote, he has demanded that the SIR campaign be extended until August 29, 2026. The memorandum also calls for doubling the number of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to ensure timely verification of documents and smooth completion of voter registration for every eligible citizen. Additionally, Patel urged elected representatives and municipal councillors of every ward to play an active role in the SIR campaign by creating awareness, assisting citizens with the process, and ensuring that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll. Through the memorandum, he also requested the concerned administrative authorities to issue necessary directions for extending the campaign and ensuring its effective implementation across the region.
